The story of my life is a little like the path of a roller coaster with all sorts of twist and turns and loops, long slow climbs up followed by rapid descents although it hasn't always been as exhilarating as a roller coaster ride.
It's not something I'm secretive about but there's really too much to tell, to tell here.
What I will say is that my photography is informed by periods of struggle and adversity, 3 years living and travelling in Asia as well as a B.A. in Anthropology followed along with some training and experience in counselling, acting and some workshops in the U.S. around some of the best photographers in the world and work as a tradesman the Alberta industrial construction industry.
One thing has remained constant, is my interest in and passion for beautiful, compelling photography that makes a statement about a specific situation in the world or about some aspect of the human experience in general.
Even during several long stretches of time when I didn't even pick-up a camera, I loved to view beautiful, moving images of the world and the people who inhabit it.
For various personal and circumstantial reasons I have never been able to mount a successful pursuit of a livelihood in photography but I might as well try to do so now before I shake off this Earthly coil.
